Waukesha Law Firm Founded in 1973

Cramer, Multhauf & Hammes was founded in 1973 by Clayton Cramer (d. 1993) and John Multhauf (d. 2012). James Hammes joined the firm in 1977 and became a named partner in 1989. 

Clayton Cramer focused his practice in municipal law. Over the course of his career, he represented a number of municipalities in Southeastern Wisconsin. John Multhauf concentrated his practice on corporate and business law. He represented a variety of businesses, ranging from family-owned operations to publicly-traded corporations.

Since opening, Cramer, Multhauf & Hammes has grown to fifteen attorneys and a full support staff. As a general practice firm, our attorneys provide practical, yet sophisticated, counsel to individuals and businesses in a number of practice areas. It is the firm’s goal to provide quality, cost-effective legal services to all clients, no matter what size.
